GAUTAM BUDDHA VIHARA DIYUN

Rebuilding the Glory of Gautam Buddha Vihara

A Sacred Legacy. A Shared Responsibility.

Welcome to Gautam Buddha Vihara, Diyun—a revered center of Buddhist faith, culture, and community life in District Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh.

Established in 1984 through the collective efforts and generosity of visionary community leaders and devoted followers of the Buddha, Gautam Buddha Vihara has stood for over four decades as a beacon of Dhamma, compassion, and spiritual awakening.

Located in the heart of Diyun Township, this sacred space serves not only as a place of worship but also as a symbol of unity, heritage, and identity for thousands of Buddhists in the region.

Today, we stand at a historic crossroads. Led by the Gautam Buddha Vihara Management Trust (GBVMT), our community has embarked on an ambitious, sacred mission: to completely reconstruct and revitalize our aging temple into an awe-inspiring landmark of Buddhist heritage, spiritual education, and cultural pride.
